General

What is FlashDrive Pro?

FlashDrive Pro turns your iPhone or Android phone into a local file server and productivity hub. Open the app, share files, and access them from any browser on the same network — no internet, no cloud, no accounts needed.

How much does it cost?

FlashDrive Pro is free to download with basic LAN file sharing. Pro features (Cloud Sharing, Live Camera, Shared Notepad, Kanban, and more) are available via subscription: $4.99/month or $39.99/year (save 33%). Cancel anytime.

What devices does it support?

The app runs on iOS 15+ and Android 8+. The browser interface works on any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on Windows, Mac, Linux, or ChromeOS.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. FlashDrive Pro works entirely on your local Wi-Fi network. You can even use your phone's Personal Hotspot if no Wi-Fi is available.

Is FlashDrive Pro safe to use?

Yes. All data stays on your local network. Nothing goes to the cloud. You can enable PIN protection for additional security.

Subscription

What's included in the free version?

The free version includes LAN file sharing — browse, upload, and download files from any browser on the same network. All other features require a Pro subscription.

What's included in Pro?

Pro unlocks everything: Shared Notepad, Kanban Board, Shared Tables, Live Camera, Cloud Sharing, Nearby Transfer, Send Files (AirDrop/WhatsApp/Email), QR Download Links, and PIN Protection.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime through your device's App Store or Google Play Store settings. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google through their respective app store policies. We do not process payments directly.

What is Cloud Sharing?

Cloud Sharing lets you upload a file and generate a shareable link that anyone can use to download it — even people not on your network. Files auto-expire after 7 days. Maximum 5GB per file.

File Sharing

What file types can I share?

Any file type — documents, photos, videos, music, archives, and more. There are no file type restrictions.

Is there a file size limit?

The only limit is your phone's available storage. FlashDrive Pro supports files up to 2GB per upload.

Can multiple people connect at the same time?

Yes. Anyone on the same network who has the URL can access the shared files through their browser.

Can I upload files from my computer to my phone?

Yes. The browser interface supports drag-and-drop uploads. You can also create folders and organize files remotely.

Features

How does Live Camera streaming work?

The Camera tab opens your phone's camera and streams the video feed to a URL. Any browser on the same network can view the live stream — no app needed on the viewing device.

What is Shared Notepad?

A real-time collaborative text editor. Write on your phone or in the browser — changes sync instantly between all connected devices.

Can I use it without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Enable your phone's Personal Hotspot, connect your computer to it, and use FlashDrive Pro as normal. No router required.

What is Clipboard Sync?

Copy text on your phone and paste it on your desktop — or the other way around. It syncs your clipboard between devices over the local network.

Privacy & Security

Does FlashDrive Pro collect my data?

The free version collects zero data. If you subscribe to Pro and use Cloud Sharing, files you share are temporarily stored on our servers (auto-deleted after 7 days). We use RevenueCat for anonymous subscription management. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How is it secured?

PIN protection restricts browser access. Only files you explicitly share are visible. The server is only accessible on your local network — not from the internet.

Can someone outside my network access my files?

No. The server binds to your local network only. Devices outside your Wi-Fi or hotspot cannot reach it.

Does it require an account?

No. No registration, no email, no login. Just install and use.

Troubleshooting

The browser can't connect to the server.

Make sure your computer and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network. Check the URL on the Server tab. Try restarting the server in the app.

My files aren't showing in the browser.

Only files you've explicitly shared appear in the browser. Go to the Files tab and make sure your files are added to the shared list.

Transfer speeds are slow.

Ensure both devices have a strong Wi-Fi signal. 5GHz networks are faster than 2.4GHz. Move closer to your router if needed.
